Bikie boss Mark Buddle in custody of Australian police

Formerly exiled leader of the Comancheros bikie gang, Mark Buddle, is back on Australian soil and in the custody of the Australian Federal Police, after he was deported from Turkey.

Buddle left Australia in 2016 and has been living in various locations in the Middle East since then.

Mark Buddle has been arrested by the AFP after he was deported by Turkey.

In a statement on Wednesday, the AFP confirmed it had arrested a 37-year-old man over the alleged importation of more than 160 kilograms of cocaine into Melbourne in May last year.

Buddle flew into Darwin after he was deported from Turkey, where he was arrested by federal police officers.

But the AFP would not confirm Buddle’s current location ahead of a press conference later this morning.

He is expected to face court later on Wednesday.
