A BRITISH father has died while snorkelling on vacation with his wife and daughter in the Caribbean.

The man arrived in St Kitts alongside his family onboard the P&O cruise ship Britannia on Monday.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine if his cause of death was natural or caused by drowning.

They were on a 14-day cruise from Barbados to Southampton.

Earlier this month, a British grandfather died in a horror snorkelling accident while on vacation with his wife.

Gareth Weekes, 77, was on a sailing trip in St Vincent and the Grenadines when the tragedy happened.

The avid sailor was enjoying the trip of a lifetime aboard a yacht with his wife Alison.

According to local media, the man got into the water off a small island where he later drowned.

His daughter, Jenna Fansa, 43, said: "Dad took a very genuine interest in everyone he met – together with his wit and engaging writing style, this made him a very talented journalist."
