Holy water has been sprinkled on the altar and the church choir to restore a church's honour after a randy couple filmed themselves having sex inside it.
The racy couple were filmed appearing to have 'doggy-style' intercourse behind an altar which prompted a police investigation.
Graphic footage circulated online caused outrage after it was filmed inside Sint-Michielskerk Church in the city of Bree.
The local church deacon told VRT: "Intimacy in our church was made public.
"This intimacy was exhibited in the media for all to see. Injustice was done to the meaning of our church and its altar. The place where God should be honoured was profaned. Many people are shocked."
The graphic video shows a naked woman bending over while a man films her from behind.
He appears to be filming with one hand while the other can be seen occasionally groping the woman’s waist.

Both people in the video have now been identified and questioned by the police, VRT News reports.
The church has now been sprinkled in holy water in an attempt to restore the church "to its proper meaning".

Sint-Michielskerk Church spokesperson Ernest Essers previously said the filmed incident "exceeded all boundaries of decency, respect, and fairness".
He said he received the video via WhatsApp on 29th October, adding: "This is public defamation. We are going to file a complaint with the police.
"Due to the extended All Saints weekend, this would have happened on Wednesday (October 27)," he speculated.
Essers said: "We want to handle this discreetly, but of course we want it to be followed up. This has overwhelmed us."
