Daniel Boulton, 29, denies stabbing ex-girlfriend Bethany Vincent, 26, and her son, 9, to death in Louth

A MAN will stand trial after he denied murdering his ex-partner and her nine-year-old son.

Bethany Vincent, 26, and Darren 'DJ' Henson were discovered stabbed to death at home in Louth, Lincs, on May 31.

Her ex Daniel Boulton, 29, has been charged with two counts of murder.

He today appeared at Lincoln Crown Court where he denied the charges.

Boulton was arrested at a farm in nearby Hubbard's Hill around 16 hours after the double killing when police put out an appeal.

He is also charged with wounding with intent to resist after stabbing an off-duty police officer at the farm before being apprehended.

The defendant also faces a charge of burglary between May 30 and June 2 after he allegedly entered a bungalow and stole clothing, food and drink.

He was remanded in custody to stand trial on January 13 next year.

Mum-of-two Bethany had given birth to a baby boy last year, who is now being cared for by relatives.

Darren's devastated dad posted a heartbreaking final selfie with his son taken three days before he was knifed to death.

Kieran Henson praised nine-year-old Darren 'DJ' Henson in a touching tribute, saying: "This was the last photo I took with you my boy.

"I love you so much and it breaks me to write this. You were my world and my shining star. Whenever I was down I would think of you and you would give me more strength that any man could take in.

"Justice will never be served to what happened to your beautiful self and beautiful mum.

"Just know I will honour your memory until I can't breath any more. I love and miss you both so much. Sleep tight my boy."
