Denver weather: Sunny Thursday brings warmer temps after snowy night

Sunny weather Thursday will bring warmer temperatures than what forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder had expected.

A light bout of snow and heavy clouds blew into the Denver metro area overnight, but the clouds will decrease through the day Thursday, giving way for the sun to warm up the area to highs in the mid-40s.

Denver’s high is 48 degrees, and Denver International Airport’s high is 43 degrees.

There will be some light wind of about five to eight mph throughout the day.

The low Thursday night will be a seasonally-normal 25 degrees.

Friday will have similar temperatures, as the high is 47 degrees, but there is a chance of precipitation from noon to midnight. If the precipitation arrives earlier, it could come as rain and change to snow into the evening. Less than an inch of accumulation is possible.

The low Friday night is 22 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, then more snow enters the forecast during the next work week.
