An ex-girlfriend who turned up at the property she still owned with her former fiance lost the plot after finding another woman there.
Emilie Barber, 23, arrived at the property in Kirkby on July 23, and saw red after an alleged "agreement" with her ex, Steven Wareing junior, not to have other women in the house was broken.
Furious, Barber armed herself with a cutlery knife and went on the rampage, threatening multiple people with violence, writes the Liverpool Echo.
Liverpool Crown Court heard the couple broke up in May 2020 after three years together. The couple had got engaged and bought a house together.
The pair agreed that Mr Wareing would buy Barber out of her half of the property and moved out.
On April 23 Barber let herself into the property at 8.30pm, with the friend visiting Steven deciding to hide in the en-suite bathroom to avoid a "confrontation".
Simon Leong, prosecuting, said: "Miss French wanted to avoid a confrontation and locked herself within an en suite bathroom as the defendant made her way upstairs.
"The defendant grabbed hold of the door handle of the en suite bathroom trying to open it shouting 'who's in the toilet?'"
At that point, Barber retrieved a "cutlery knife" from the kitchen and used the round head of the knife to unlock the en suite bathroom door.

Once she was able to open the door she launched into a verbal attack against Miss French and when Steven stepped in Barber slapped him once across the face.
She then poked her ex "three or four times in the stomach with the end of the cutlery knife."
Although uninjured Steven and his friend got in his car to drive away Barber managed to open the front passenger door where Miss French was sitting and shouted while waving the knife around.

She then caused a three to four-inch scratch to the rear bodywork of his car.
When Steven's parents arrived at the property Barber also waved the knife and pointed it "aggressively" at both of them.
When she returned to the property to collect belongings on August 10 she took a £50 Xbox controller which she had bought her ex for Christmas.
Barber originally denied any wrongdoing, but ahead of a trial she admitted affray, common assault, criminal damage and theft.
Judge Brandon handed Barber 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, with a 25-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, 120 hours of unpaid work and a five-year restraining order.
Judge Brandon said: "It's clear you caused them considerable fear, distress and upset."
