Fashion mogul Peter Nygard says he has to get out of prison — to maintain his svelte physique and sugar-free diet, according to newly released court papers.

Nygard, 79, has been locked up since his arrest last month in Winnipeg, Canada, on a Manhattan federal indictment charging him with sexually abusing dozens of girls and women.

In a bail application for his release while he awaits extradition to the United States, he provided a summary of his medical history — including before and after photos under the heading “Peter Nygard: Reverse Aging Paradigm.”

In an earlier snap, he’s shown with a potbelly, while in later shots he’s playing volleyball and lifting weights as he shows off his newly toned muscles.

The transformation began 10 years ago when he developed health problems and a doctor put him on a no-sugar diet and an exercise regimen, he wrote.

“I stopped white sugar & white carbs,” the letter states. “Next 3 years (2010-11-12) remarkable results (as shown on photograph).”

But his time in Canadian lockup is threatening his progress — and the sugar-heavy jail slop is making him gravely ill, he wrote.

Given his age and health conditions, he’s also a prime candidate for “a COVID death,” he added.

Nygard appeared by video for a bail hearing Wednesday, which was adjourned to Jan. 19, over the objection of his lawyers who said he needed to get out of jail immediately due to the serious health risks.

The bail application includes an affidavit from Steve Mager, the former director of construction at Nygard Companies, who has offered to put up two properties, worth $300,000, to help secure his ex-boss’ release.

The pair met playing poker in 2017 and Nygard gave Mager a second chance despite two convictions for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, the affidavit states.

Prosecutors say that the Canadian tycoon, who founded the once-successful clothing label Nygard International, allegedly fueled his “near-daily” appetite for sex by drugging and raping women as young as 14.

Nygard hosted “Pamper Parties” at his palatial estates in California, the Bahamas and Canada, where his employees and “girlfriends” scouted for fresh victims — including minors — for him to sexually abuse, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.

Cheryl Doyle, who had worked as a bartender at the infamous parties before becoming Nygard’s personal assistant, told defense investigators that the sex-crazed thread baron “was an 80-year-old man trying to make sure that all those around him were safe.”

She said he instructed her to make weak drinks and didn’t like it when guests got drunk. Another former Nygard staffer allegedly warned Doyle by phone that her “situation was similar to Ghislaine Maxwell’s situation, and that Doyle could get into trouble just like Maxwell did,” the documents say.

The British socialite is facing up to 35 years in prison for allegedly recruiting and grooming girls to be abused by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in his jail cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
