Gabby Petito case: Sleuths think she may be holding GUN in photo after possible firearm seen in Brian Laundrie's bedroom

ONLINE sleuths have wildly claimed that Gabby Petito may be holding a gun in a photo after a possible firearm was seen in her fiancé Brian Laundrie's bedroom.

The image was uploaded in January this year as part of a montage of photos on her TikTok channel Nomadic Statik.

The short clip appears to document moments from the blogger's adventures and travels with Laundrie.

It is titled: "Reminiscing, 2020 memories. We have lots of big plans for this new year."

She appears to tease her followers about a potential road trip as she includes the hashtag #vanlifetravel.

Gabby is posing with the object near her mouth where she appears to be kissing the tip.

It's not known if the object is a firearm and the date of the photograph remains unknown.

Twitter users sent a screenshot of the TikTok snap to the FBI.

Social media users allege that Laundrie is taking the photograph.

It comes as sleuths appeared to spot a potential firearm in Brian Laundrie's bedroom.

The object, which hangs on the shelf, is painted to resemble the American flag.

FBI officials have made several visits to the Laundrie home since Brian returned to Florida alone on September 1.

Two agents visited Laundrie’s parents' home on Sunday and asked them for some of his items that may help with DNA matching.

Their family lawyer Steve Bertolino told Fox News: “The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian’s parents provided the FBI with what they could.”

The agents were pictured leaving the home and carrying a brown paper bag.

And, last week, Laundrie’s silver Mustang was towed away from the family home.

The 23-year-old’s parents drove the car home after they spotted it parked near the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota, according to Bertolino.

FBI PROBE

Online sleuths have been behind a huge effort to solve Gabby's disappearance as they tried to unearth clues since the vlogger was reported missing on September 11.

In a YouTube video, travel bloggers Jenn and Kyle Bethune claim they spotted the couple's camper van parked off a dirt track in Wyoming on August 27 – just two days after Gabby reportedly last spoke with her family.

Some internet detectives claimed they saw someone digging in a field near where the vehicle was last seen.

One person wrote: “Someone needs to check that field asap, I don’t think it's her but there is something of significance he’s put out there, remains of her phone, jewelry, something of significance to her!!! Something is in a field to the left of the screen.”

Another Facebook user added: “Definitely a person there…” and attached a screengrab appearing to show a figure in some bushes behind the van.

ARMCHAIR DETECTIVES

A third commented: “Definitely a person in the field just before the van is shown.”

There is no evidence that there was a "person" in the field nearby.

Others shared snaps showing a pair of abandoned sandals left on a dirt track that looked similar to shoes Gabby was wearing while touring the midwestern canyons.

And, some noticed stickers near the number plates that appear to be from Venice, Florida.

Meanwhile, armchair detectives made wild claims alleging Gabby was pregnant after spotting a "sonogram" on the same dirt track and noticing a baby-themed Pinterest board.

The "picture" was among several items by the roadside including what looks like a spiraled notebook.

It remains unknown if a "sonogram" was among the items found near the couple's van.

WILD THEORIES

The claims that Gabby may be pregnant are purely speculation.

It is not known if she was expecting a baby at the time of her disappearance.

Dozens of wild theories, including speculation that Laundrie may have a burner phone after spotting “changes” to his social media platforms, have gone viral since Gabby’s disappearance.

Gabby was reported missing on September 11 – and remains belonging to the vlogger were found in Wyoming a week later.

A funeral for the 22-year-old was held in Holbrook, New York on Sunday.

Her dad Joe asked mourners to be “inspired” by his daughter and said he couldn’t be “more proud”.

Joe said: “When you leave here today, be inspired by what she brought to the table. Because the entire planet knows this woman's name now, and she's inspired a lot of women and a lot of men to do what's best for them first.”

Meanwhile, Laundrie remains missing as he vanished weeks after returning to Florida.

Cops continue to scour the vast Carlton Reserve after he allegedly told his parents that he was going for a hike.

Detectives continue to search the 25,000-acre park but some investigators think Laundrie may be heading towards the Appalachian Trail.

Reality TV star Dog the Bounty Hunter said a lot of the information he has received points to the hiking route.

He said: “Well, the leads, yes have said that. The reason is that he spent a couple of months there in the past and he’s an outdoorsman. He’s got t-shirts on his social media with the mountains, he’s got pictures.

The reality TV star ranked Laundrie a “six” compared to the outdoorsmen he’s previously hunted.
