The teen was today unmasked for the first time after being detained for life at Cardiff Crown Court.

During a trial, the court was told how Mulligan had a chilling history of “cruel” attacks on young children, vulnerable adults and animals.

It can also be revealed he made previous threats to kill five-year-old Logan and was branded “pure evil” by a foster carer.

Mulligan is the son of Cole's ex-partner Rebecca Trudgill, who was in a relationship with the monster for over ten years.

The relationship ended in 2019 when Cole met Williamson and the teen was taken into care after his mum faked a cancer diagnosis.

As he had criminal convictions, Cole was banned from unsupervised contact with children until social services became involved.

In May 2020, he applied to have parental rights of Mulligan – with the request granted just five days before Logan was killed.

It can now be revealed he was branded "pure evil" by a foster carer and "enjoyed causing anxiety and fear".

The teen, who was trained in martial arts, was obsessed with horror film The Purge and violent video games.

Sadistic incidents included him stamping on a carer's foot after she had an operation and attacking a pensioner.

He also hit a three-year-old child and would use his martial-arts training to lash out at teachers with karate kicks.

One girl who was in the same foster family as Mulligan chillingly revealed how he tried to get her to play at the river alone.

He also asked her young nieces to play a “murder game” where he would put their bodies in black bags.

She said: "He seemed obsessed with killing people.

"He would talk about killing people all the time. He said if The Purge film was true he wanted to kill my mother and father and he made it seem as if he wanted to it be real life."

The girl’s foster mum told how Mulligan had a “desire for violence” and would torture the family’s pet dog by spraying deodorant in its eyes.

He also grabbed the pooch, which had an injured pelvis, by its back legs.

The mum claimed she was "unnerved" by the boy, who would walk around smirking, and said he smashed a local park with a metal bat.

Mulligan told the carer he would kill her, her husband, daughter and the dog.

SICK SONG

After he was arrested for Logan's murder, he was heard singing “I love kids. I f***ing love kids. I love to punch kids in the head. It’s orgasmic”.

Prosecutor Caroline Rees QC said: "He repeated the phrase loudly. In the light of the mechanism of injury to Logan, the prosecution say that this is a significant comment.

"It certainly doesn’t demonstrate any sadness this five-year-old has died in traumatic circumstances."

Mulligan was seen in chilling CCTV taking Logan's lifeless body to the river with Cole after he was murdered.

He was part of an "elaborate" charade to cover the trio's tracks.

Logan was found with horrific injuries after being dumped in the Ogmore River near his home in Bridgend like “fly-tipped” rubbish.

In total the youngster had 56 external injuries to his head, face, torso arms and legs from a blunt force trauma.
