Unspoilt sea views…but no running water and overnight stays are banned: Wooden beach hut overlooking Gower’s coastline in Wales goes on the market for £25,000

  • The charming green and white beach hut has gone on sale for just £25,000, but has no water or electricity
  • Sitting on the scenic Rotherslade Bay in South Wales, the hut is ‘a rare opportunity’ for prospective buyers
  •  The price is a bargain when it comes to beach hut – one in Christchurch Harbour, Dorset went for £500,000

A beach hut with stunning sea views is up for grabs in time for the late summer sun – for just £25,000.

The green and white hut sits on a stretch of golden sand overlooking the sea in Rotherslade Bay, South Wales.

It is up for auction with a guide price of just £25,000 – but has no running water and overnight stays are banned.

But those sea views are still a bargain compared to other hotspots like Christchurch Harbour, where a beach hut was snapped up for an outrageous £500,000.

The wooden building with a covered veranda sits on the stunning Gower coastline in South Wales.

The beach hut has a covered veranda out front which provides a place to enjoy the view and sun

The cosy room has enough room for a small group after before and after heading to the nearby beach

The building is one of many in a small community of huts just a short walk from the beach on the south Wales coast

Buyers will be able to wash off their sandy feet in the communal water supply before enjoying relaxation time in the hut.

A secure gate protects the property from the road and there is storage inside the hut to keep any beach toys and picnic items.

Estate agents John Francis said: ‘A rare opportunity to secure a little piece of Rotherslade in the form of this compact, beautifully located beach hut.

‘After a lovely day at the beach the incoming purchaser can stroll back to their very own beach hut to take in the beautiful views whilst enjoying a little tipple.

‘Please be advised that there isn’t any running water or electricity.’

The last beach hut to sell at auction at Rotherslade Bay sold for £27,000 four years ago.

Rotherslade Bay is a popular holiday resort in the South of Wales, one of many in Britain which is seeing property prices soar

The hut’s estate agent said it was a ‘rare opportunity’ to grab a piece of real estate on the Gower coastline

Rotherslade Bay is next to The Mumbles on Swansea Bay, and a short drive from the city of Swansea itself
