I work at ‘UK’s most expensive’ corner shop – we sell soft drinks for £15 | The Sun

A SHOPKEEPER is selling soft drinks for an eye-watering £15 a pop – but customers aren't complaining.

Ameer Khan, 21, sees dozens of bottles of Prime Hydration fly off the shelves at his convenience store almost by the minute.

One punter paid £80 for a crate while another shelled out £15 just to keep a bottle behind the counter so no one else could buy it.

Ameer, who runs a Nisa Local in Worcester, explained: "Nobody has complained about the price.

"People leave their phone numbers with me so I can let them know we have some in stock."

The extortionately priced Prime Hydration is at the centre of a social media craze which sparked a buying frenzy amongst youngsters.

While others are shifting the ultra-in-demand 500ml drink on eBay for a ridiculous £10,000 just for one bottle.

The drink – which comes in 11 flavours – retails at £2 but shopkeeper Ameer pumps up the prices to £8 knowing he can still shift the stock at his store.
