Ibiza Weekender contestant, 21, missing for days is found miles away from home

An Ibiza Weekender star who had not been seen since disappearing five days ago has been found miles away from her home.

Vidmante Bukelyte, 21, had last been missing since Thursday night, February 18, Liverpool Echo reports.

She had appeared on Ibiza Weekender in 2018.

Vidmante was last seen carrying a suitcase, sparking fears she may have been travelling abroad.

She was last known to be in Kensington, Liverpool, but could have gone into the Anfield area, friends believed.

The last contact anyone had from Lithuanian-born Vidmante was a phone message she left on a friend's phone asking them to contact her on an unknown person's number.

This led to her friends launching a missing persons appeal as they grew increasingly concerned for her, because it was completely out of character for the 21-year-old to switch her phone off.

In an update on Tuesday, February 23, best friend Paul Mccabe confirmed that Vidmante has now been found safe and well.

Paul said Vidmante, who had said before her disappearance that she was going to meet "a secret man with a van" to travel back to Lithuania, was found in London on Tuesday.

He told the ECHO: "We're so grateful for everybody's help. She's been found safe and sound."

According to her social media, Vidmante Bukelyte once appeared on ITV's Ibiza Weekender's fourth series which aired back in 2018.

Earlier, Paul had said she had stayed with a "secret man with a van" and is thought to have left his house at 2am on Friday.

Paul said: "It is very unusual behaviour and very out of character as she would never be off her phone as it's her life.

"The phone hasn't been on since Thursday which is very concerning for the people who know her.

"We are at a loss and we do not know what else to do."

He added: "It is also relevant that she stated she was going to meet 'a secret man with a van' to travel back to Lithuania.

"We are reaching out for anyone to come forward with any information at all. We just want our friend home safe."
