The bus, carrying parents and children, plunged into a ravine near the city of Sumedang in West Java province. Indonesia’s transportation ministry has shared 39 people survived the plunge and 27 tragically died. Local reports suggested the bus had been on its way back to Subang from a pilgrimage site in the province’s Tasikmalaya district. The vehicle fell into a 20 metre deep ravine. The exact cause of the crash is not immediately clear to authorities.
