John McAfee’s widow insists last words to her proves he was not suicidal

The widow of John McAfee has reportedly released the tech tycoon’s supposed suicide note, in which he described himself as a “parasite” whose “future does not exist” – but she cast doubt about its authenticity.

A preliminary coroner’s report has confirmed the initial determination by local authorities that the eccentric antivirus software creator hanged himself in a Barcelona prison.

McAfee’s family, which has questioned whether he killed himself, has requested a second and independent autopsy.

Sources have said that the 75-year-old had a suicide note in his pocket when guards found him and tried to revive him, according to reports.

An image of the one-page letter — written in capital letters and posted with the hashtag #NotASuideNote — purports to show some of McAfee’s final thoughts before he was found dead, according to the UK’s Independent.

“I am a phantom parasite,” the note begins, before some words are crossed out. “I want to control my future, which does not exist.”

His wife, Janice McAfee, who tweeted out a photo of the note, wrote: “The handwriting is suspect & I doubt the authenticity of the note. It reads more like someone trying to imitate John’s style of tweeting.

“And if this note was found in his pocket where are the markings of the note being folded into his pocket?” she added.

“This note does not sound anything like someone who has no hope and is contemplating ending their life. This note sounds like one of John’s tweets,” she said in another tweet.

Janice also wrote that “there has been no since [sic] of urgency from the various Spanish authorities involved in the investigation into John’s death and there is clearly cover up happening here concerning the events surrounding his death.”

“We have not received the death certificate, the official autopsy report or the official report from the prison,” she wrote.

“I understand that things take time but the lack of cooperation from the Spanish authorities only confirms our suspicions that they have something to hide,” added the widow.

She also expressed her anger for not being allowed to see her husband’s “entire body” – just his “head through a window at the facility where they are keeping him.”

Janice said that “his entire body from the neck down was covered with a sheet & blanket.”

McAfee was found hanging last month just hours after a Spanish court ruled he would be extradited to the US to face tax-evasion charges.

A frequent tweeter, McAfee had long claimed that US officials were out to kill him and would make it look like a suicide — and even had a tattoo that read, “$WHACKD.”

In a cryptic post on Twitter last year, he wrote, “Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine” — a reference to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who hanged himself in a New York prison while awaiting trial for sex-trafficking.

McAfee fueled even more conspiracy theories when a mysterious post on his Instagram account — with just the letter Q — popped up hours after his death.

McAfee had been jailed at the Brians 2 prison since October while a Spanish tribunal considered whether to honor the extradition order.

Federal prosecutors in Tennessee had issued a warrant for McAfee, alleging that he dodged more than $4 million in taxes.
