BRITISH actor Julian Sands eerily shared how he found human remains during his hikes just a few weeks before he died in California.
The star's death was confirmed last week after his body was found by hikers in the Baldy Bowl area at San Gabriel peaks.
The A Room With A View star 65, had been missing for over five months after he failed to return from a hike in January.
And now it has emerged that he had made a haunting prediction about his own death in one of his final interviews.
He told Radio Times: "I've found spooky things on mountains when you know you're in a place where many people have lost their lives, whether it be on the Eiger or in the Andes.
"You may be confronted with human remains and that can be chilling.

"It's not necessarily supernatural, it's possibly all too natural – what I would call hypernatural.
"You're in the presence of big nature and big nature is revealing itself in all its power.
"It can take us over a threshold of hypersensitivity into a realm of natural forces."
The actor's disappearance on the 10,000-foot Mount San Antonio sparked a massive search operation as helicopters and drones combed the area for days.

Only his snow-covered Volvo car was recovered near Mount Baldy just outside the city of Los Angeles.
The 65-year-old was an experienced hiker who had previously described himself as happiest "close to a mountain summit on a glorious cold morning."
In his interview, he also dismissed the suggestion he was too old for climbing but noted that climate change had made some rock faces more unstable.
He said: "If you don’t really have the desire, the focus for climbing a route, if you’re not absolutely committed, it becomes much more dangerous and it’s a much more deflating experience.
"Finding folk whose company I enjoy in such stressful and intimate conditions is not easy.
"The thing about climbing is, you’re always making plans and looking at routes – maybe you end up getting to 5% of all the things you plan to do."
The actor's brother, Nick, said two weeks after search efforts began that he had accepted Sands would not be found alive.
"He has not yet been declared missing, presumed dead, but I know in my heart that he has gone," he had said, according to English local media in Yorkshire, where the brothers grew up.
Julian was best known for hits A Room With A View – where he starred alongside Helena Bonham Carter – and Leaving Las Vegas.
More recently he played the chief medical officer in the 2021 Jack Lowden and Peter Capaldi-led drama Benediction.
He was born in England but had been living in the North Hollywood area.
