A female police worker has been stabbed to death at the entrance of a police station in Rambouillet, a town 35 miles southwest of Paris.

Europe 1 radio reported on Friday that the attacker had been shot and overpowered by police officers on the scene. He’s thought to have died of his injuries.

The attacker’s motives are unknown. BFM TV reported that he was of Tunisian nationality.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said he is heading to the scene.
