Meteorologist Brooks Garner is leaving FOX 31 — The Know

Popular weatherman Brooks Garner is leaving FOX 31 at the end of May.

The former morning meteorologist has transitioned to working digitally for KDVR and its sister channel, KWGN, for the time being.

“I understand there have been many inquiries about my whereabouts at FOX 31,” Garner told The Denver Post. “Viewers have been so wonderful in their overwhelming volume of messages to me, expressing kind words and support. I regret not being able to reply to each and every one, but can assure folks that I am okay and everything is good!”

Garner says he’s writing stories and periodically appearing on special video reports about weather and science for the two TV stations.

Kylie Bearse began working for FOX 31 as the meteorologist in the mornings on May 3.

“While I feel gratitude for FOX 31 for a great couple of years, I will be leaving the station at the end of this month in what will be a significant step in my career,” Garner said. “I can’t wait to share specifics on where we are going, and I’ll announce all the details on my social media pages in the next week or so.”

Garner began working for FOX 31 in July of 2019. He spent six years in Houston before coming to Colorado and is originally from Massachusetts. He worked extensively covering Hurricane Harvey and once flew into the eye of Hurricane Sandy.
