Militia members reportedly gathered outside the Georgia Capitol on Wednesday amid controversy over a leaked phone conversation between President Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Raffensperger and his senior staff were “escorted out to safety,” according to an unconfirmed tweet from Washington Post reporter Amy Gardner.

The chaos erupted around the same time that Trump supporters stormed into the US Capitol as lawmakers began debating whether to certify the Electoral College vote count in Arizona.

On Sunday, Gardner broke the news about the Saturday phone call in which Trump urged Raffensberger to “find” enough votes in the Peach State to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s victory there.
