The mother of a teen girl raped by a teacher in Westchester County said her daughter was “stripped of hope” by the creep, as she delivered an emotional statement at his sentencing on Tuesday.

John Fraioli, 35, was sentenced to six months of shock incarceration after admitting he sexually abused a 15-year-old student at New Rochelle High School in 2019, prosecutors said.

“You took full advantage of her vulnerability. You manipulated her. You used her. You preyed upon her…,” the victim’s mom told Fraioli during the hearing.

“My only hope is that in time she will be able to overcome the abuse you inflicted. My biggest fear is that she may not.”

Prosecutors said Fraioli had sex with the student in the school building and at his home in White Plains.

He was first arrested in May 2019, and again in October of that year. He resigned from his teaching position prior to the second arrest.

At the hearing, the student also read a victim impact statement, telling the court: “Even though I logically know I’m not to blame I still spent most days wondering if I could have done something different.”

“I’ve had so many days, months, almost two years now wasted on unnecessary feelings of guilt, shame and embarrassment over something that wasn’t my fault,” she said.

Fraioli pleaded guilty on Oct. 13 to third-degree criminal sex act and third-degree rape, felonies.

In addition to serving time in shock incarceration — a military-style boot camp for offenders — Fraioli was also sentenced to 10 years of sex offender probation.

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah called the case “disturbing” in a statement.

“It is truly disturbing that someone we trusted to protect and care for our children instead did such terrible harm,” Rocah said.

“The statements from the victim and her mother make clear the extreme and long-lasting impact of this abuse.”

Fraioli is due back in court on May 11 for a hearing to determine his sex offender risk level.
