A koala has been captured carrying her baby on her back to ensure they safely cross the road in adorable new footage.
The mother-daughter duo were seen venturing out together at Blanket Bay, a campground in Cape Otway, Victoria, in video shared to Reddit on Monday.
The mother gave her joey a piggyback ride as she walked along the gravel, before stopping directly in front of the camera.
The mum and bub looked ahead as they paused for a moment and then continued their journey into some shrubbery.

Those who live locally said the koalas at Blanket Bay and its surrounds are known for being ‘chill’.
The woman who posted the video said the sighting was ‘really special’, as she commended the native marsupial for remaining calm.
‘My guess is she’s a resident of the campground and sees people all the time,’ the woman wrote.
This is not the first time someone has stumbled across a joey hitching a ride off its mum.
Rosalind Willis and her husband were driving down a country road in Victoria back in November when they spotted the native Australian icon with her two passengers.

‘There’s a handful – look at mumma with two babies!’ Ms Willis can be heard saying on the video.
The furry marsupial then makes it across the road where she waddles through the long grass towards the safety of a eucalyptus tree with the youngsters clinging on.
‘Aww Mrs Koala. Two bubbas … what a load,’ Ms Willis adds.
Koalas are born tiny and without fur and immediately crawl inside their mother’s pouch where they stay for about six to seven months.
Once they develop proper ears, eyes and fur they venture outside the pouch and hitch a ride on their mother’s back for another few months.
