Why is Biden looking to give free vaccines to other nations before US reaches herd immunity?

The NYPD has received a new shipment of COVID-19 vaccines, and will resume jabbing cops on Wednesday, The Post has learned.

Cops will be able to get the shots at the Police Academy at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to a memo sent out to all uniformed officers.

Cops will have until Friday to get the latest batch of vaccines, the memo says.

The additional vaccines were obtained by the NYPD in response to a survey sent out to cops to gauge demand.

It was not immediately known how many officers said they wanted the jab, nor how many doses the department acquired.

As of Jan. 18, more than 12,000 cops of roughly 35,000 total uniformed officers had received their first dose.

The move comes a week after the NYPD paused the vaccine rollout due to a statewide shortage.

The NYPD did not immediately respond for comment.
