Police launch urgent hunt for missing girl, 16, who hasn’t been seen since last week

Police have issued an urgent appeal for any information to help find a missing 16-year-old girl. 

Lois Laurence was last seen in the Blackley area of north Manchester last Friday, on January 27.  

She was described as ‘slim build’, approximately 5ft 4in, with ‘dark brown, long hair and brown eyes’.

Greater Manchester Police circulated its appeal on social media channels and urged anyone with information to come forward.

She was described as ‘slim build’, approximately 5ft 4in, with ‘dark brown, long hair and brown eyes’.

She was last seen wearing black or grey leggings, black Nike trainers with a blue tick and a black Zavetti coat, according to the appeal.

In a Facebook post, GMP Manchester North said: ‘Lois Laurence, 16yrs, is currently missing from Blackely area. 

‘Last seen on 27/01/2023 at Heaton Park Road. She is described as slim build, approx. 5ft 4in, dark brown long hair and brown eyes.

‘She was last seen wearing possibly black/grey leggings, black Nike trainers with a blue tick and black Zavetti coat. She has links to Bury so could possibly be in the Bury area.

‘If you have any information regarding Lois Laurence, please call PC Helen McNeil on 07584 224 903.’ No further details have been revealed.’
