Putin’s eldest daughter bags ‘secret’ role as Russian ‘crony’ at top university

Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughter appears to have landed herself a "secret" role at a top university in the country.

Maria Vorontsova, 37, has been awarded a lofty position at the Moscow State University, heading up the prestigious medical department in an appointment meant to be made in secret.

The now not-so-secret appointment of the 37-year-old daughter of despot Putin has seen criticism of cronyism levelled at herself and the university.

Vorontsova appears to be gearing up for a post as deputy dean of Moscow State University's medical programme, but the "in secret" appointment has been made public following an investigation.

Anti-corruption investigator Maria Pevchikh, who has close ties to imprisoned opposition leader Alexei Navalny, had uncovered the appointment.

Navalny had warned the university, writing: "And you tell me that young scientists in Russia have no prospects. In the dean's position, I would be wary of [Vorontsova's] prospects."

Said prospects appear to come in line with the Putin family as Vorontsova's younger sister Katerina, 36, is already a key member of the Innopraktika and co-chair of a task force bypassing Western sanctions on Russia.

Katerina's projects over at Innopraktika have been linked to oligarchs around Putin, who appears to be using the organisation to monetise scientific movements, Metro reported.

Katerina and Vorontsova appear to be the two confirmed daughters of Russian president Putin, who is also alleged to have also had a love child called Luiza Rozova – who has lived a luxurious lifestyle.

Daily Star had previously reported on the alleged love child of Putin, who lives a glam life as the so-called "secret daughter" of the warmongerer.

Putin has not acknowledged his alleged young daughter, with the 19-year-old featuring prominently on Instagram just after the start of the war in Ukraine.

Allegations over the love child come in line with rumours of Putin's affair with Olympic gold medallist Alina Kabaeva.
