Alec Baldwin on Tuesday was officially charged by the Santa Fe district attorney over the October 2021 killing of camerawoman Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin, 64, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, and faces five years in prison if convicted.
He has pleaded not guilty, and insisted the shooting on set of his film Rust was an accident, for which he was not responsible.
His attorney described the decision to charge him as ‘a terrible miscarriage of justice.’
