Six signs Gabby Petito was TERRIFIED of Brian Laundrie from chilling Insta clues to stroking her neck in front of cops

A SERIES of clues have emerged that could suggest Gabby Petito was terrified of her fiancé Brian Laundrie.

The 22-year-old vlogger appeared to stroke her neck while being quizzed by cops in August while online sleuths allege that Instagram snaps reveal hidden meanings.

Gabby's remains were found on September 19 in a Wyoming national park – weeks after starting a cross-country road trip with Laundrie.

Weeks before she was reported missing, the young vlogger and her fiancé were interrogated by police in Moab, Utah amid reports of an incident involving the couple.

Harrowing bodycam footage released on September 16 reveals the moment Gabby told police that she and Laundrie had been "fighting".

The vlogger, who was apologetic throughout, tries to explain to the officer what she and Laundrie were arguing about through her tears.

Gabby told police: "I was apologizing to him and saying I’m sorry that I am so mean as sometimes I am so mean because I have OCD and get really frustrated."

The vlogger was stroking her neck as she sat in the back of a cop car.

Body language expert Patti Wood told The Sun: “It’s a comfort cue, but I do think it's a mimicking action of where she felt vulnerable on her neck.

“If people touch around the carotid artery – the vulnerable part of the neck – that typically indicates a great fear and vulnerability of safety.

“She’s comfort cuing on a part of the body that if it was hurt, it might mean death. She was giving the indication that as she was apologizing she might've been fearing for her life”

Footage released on September 30 shows Gabby alleging that Laundrie had "grabbed her face", left a "burning" gash on her cheek and red marks on her arm.

The footage also showed her acute anxiety at the prospect of being separated from her fiancé.

While Gabby appeared distressed, Laundrie seemed calm throughout as he told cops his story.

He told the police: "She (Gabby) gets really worked up, and when she does she swings and she had her cell phone in her hand. So I was just trying to push her away."

Body language experts think the “imbalance” should’ve raised a red flag.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Ziv Evra Cohen said the YouTuber looks "scared and overwhelmed".

Cohen told Fox News: “She was emoting so much that it was very clear that there had been an incident and there had been a problem of some kind that she was struggling with.”

'GROWING TENSIONS'

Police documents reveal that Gabby told cops that she had experienced “increased anxiety” during their trip and tensions had started to emerge between the couple, according to an affidavit.

Arches National Park ranger Melissa Hulls warned that the couple's relationship seemed "toxic", the Deseret News reports.

Hulls told the outlet that she “implored” Gabby to re-evaluate the relationship as she asked the vlogger if she was happy.

Gabby's mom Nichole Schmidt was "concerned" something was wrong after receiving a text message.

The vlogger's last known contact with her family was on August 25 when she and Laundrie reached Grand Teton National Park.

But, during the trip, Gabby phoned her mom several times and sent many messages.

A text from August 27 reads: "Can you help Stan, I just keep getting his voicemails and missed calls.”

Schmidt said Gabby never called her granddad "Stan".

'TOXIC RELATIONSHIP'

Internet sleuths trawled through Gabby’s social media profiles and speculated that one of her Instagram posts implied that she was “sad”.

A snap dated July 31 2020 shows Gabby wearing a gray top and white pants while posing outdoors in Florida.

Her hair looks windswept and she is showcasing her "Let it Be" tattoo as she looks like she's taking a selfie.

Gabby captioned one post: "I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa 🦋 #imblue."

In the second post, she captioned it: "Blue his house with a blue little window And a blue Corvette And everything is blue for him 🧊✈️🤍🔹🦕. #blue."

Sleuths believe the 22-year-old was sending hidden messages about her mood, as one commented: "Is she trying to say she’s sad??"

Another person chimed in, saying: "Blue as in sad???"

'CONCERNING TEXTS'

Other Internet detectives were not convinced as they said Gabby’s caption referred to the Eiffel 65 song Blue (Da Ba Dee).

Gabby's family believes that she continues to send signs from beyond the grave – weeks after her body was found.

Gabby's stepfather, Jim Schmidt, shared a photo of the rainbow that appeared in Grand Teton National Park after the remains were found.

He wrote: “You were sending us signs in Wyoming and continue to do so every day. Open your mind and your eyes will see them.”

Social media users suggested it was a “sign” of the vlogger leaving Earth.

The family have officially launched the Gabby Petito Foundation and are saying bracelets with “Justice for Gabby” emblazoned on them.

Meanwhile, Laundrie remains at large after he was reported missing on September 17 – days after allegedly telling his parents that he was going for a hike in the alligator-infested Carlton Reserve.

Reality TV star Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the search efforts as he and his team are scouring for potential clues in the Fort de Soto area.

It has emerged that Laundrie previously stayed at the campground with his parents on September 6.

Laundrie remains at large and there have been several alleged sightings of the fugitive on the Appalachian Trail, other parts of Florida, Mexico, and Canada. Most potential leads have led to dead ends.
