State DOE opens probe in Sext Ed principal case: attorney

An allegation that a former Yonkers principal forced an underling to snap racy shots of herself in a thong on school grounds is now being probed by the state, according to the alleged victim’s lawyer.

He said a state Department of Education investigator contacted him about his client, school worker Gisselle Vasquez, who sued ex-principal Evelina Medina and the Robert C. Dodson School.

Attorney Christopher Berlingieri said the investigator told him the probe was sparked by a Post story on Vasquez’s claims — spelled out in a sex harassment suit in Manhattan Federal Court, which also names the city of Yonkers — and that two assistant principals were also under scrutiny.

“My client will cooperate with the state DOE investigation,” Berlingieri said.

The 35-year-old Vasquez worked as a Spanish-speaking secretary for Medina, 42, at Robert C. Dodson, a mostly minority pre-K to 8th grade school of 865 students near Scarsdale.

Single-mom Vasquez claims in her suit that Medina demanded she take provocative photos of her in 2018, and to save the shots and other illicit images on Vasquez’s phone so as to prevent Medina’s husband from seeing them, while allowing access to the ex-principal’s lover.

Medina was not the only high-ranking educator harassing her, Vasquez charged in court papers.

One assistant principal would joke that Vasquez probably didn’t have sex a lot, and another Dodson assistant principal allegedly asked her, “Have you ever done drugs?” and “How often do you have sex?” and once — unsolicited — tried to kiss her, the worker claimed.

The state DOE would not confirm or deny the probe but said, “We take all allegations of misconduct against educators extremely seriously.”
