Teen ‘shot with crossbow’ fighting for life after sickening attack

A man "shot with a crossbow" is fighting for his life in hospital after being found injured on a train station bench.

British Transport Police has launched an investigation into "a shocking act of violence" at Abbey Wood station in southeast London on Sunday night.

An 18-year-old man was reported wounded at 10.20pm, prompting an emergency response from both police and paramedics who took him hospital where he is believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

As medics treated the teenager, officers shut down the station temporarily to conduct enquiries but opened it back up to the public on Monday morning.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect who fired a crossbow at the victim.
