US-linked Chinese military scientist filed patent for COVID vaccine just after contagion emerged: report
A US military base in San Antonio, Texas, was on lockdown Wednesday amid reports of an active shooter.
Officials at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland confirmed the lockdown but didn’t provide any additional details, base officials said on Twitter.
“Active Shooter warning for all JBSA-Lackland personnel,” the tweet said. “All base personnel implement LOCKDOWN procedures immediately and take cover.”
“Real World LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN,” it said.
The lockdown was ordered around 12:30 p.m.
No other details were immediately released.
The scare comes one day after an unrelated bomb threat at the Pearl Harbor military base in Hawaii forced that facility to shut the gates and order personnel to shelter in place.
