Three defendants charged with first-degree murder in Aurora hotel shooting.

Prosecutors in Adams County have filed first-degree murder charges against three defendants in a shooting death at an Aurora hotel. Two of the defendants are juveniles who are charged as adults in the case.

Rafael Martinez, 18, Rizvan Rastogor, 17, and Damien Lucero, 17, have been charged for the March 9 shooting at the Quality Inn and Suites, 3300 Ouray St., according to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office. A fourth defendant in the case was charged as a juvenile and was not identified.

Martinez, Rastogor and Lucero also face three counts each of attempted first-degree murder. Rastogor and Lucero are also charged with possession of a handgun by a juvenile. The juvenile defendant has been charged with accessory to a crime and possession of a handgun by a juvenile.

The victim who was shot dead was a 16-year-old. Three shooting victims, including two women, ages 20 and 19, survived the incident.

Martinez’ next court appearance is schedule on March 29, with Rastogor’s and Lucero’s scheduled on March 31.
