Two people were fatally shot and a third wounded at a Maryland convenience store early Sunday — with a fourth person found shot inside a burning apartment nearby, according to reports.
The chaos began just before 7 a.m., when three people were shot at a Royal Farms store in Essex, Md., about eight miles east of downtown Baltimore, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Two of the victims died of their wounds, according to the report, which cited Baltimore County police.
Their identities were not immediately disclosed.
Outside the convenience store, investigators huddled around a parked blue vehicle covered with a tent, according to The Sun.
Just 15 minutes after that shooting, cops were called to an apartment complex a few blocks away, according to reports.
There, they found a person with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound inside an apartment where a fire had been set, according to The Sun and local NBC affiliate WBAL.
That person’s condition was not immediately specified.
Investigators are probing whether the two incidents are connected, according to reports.
