Tiger Woods reportedly helped by ‘hero’ neighbor after California car crash

A neighbor in the Los Angeles suburb where golf great Tiger Woods crashed is being hailed as a hero for reportedly rushing to his aide after calling 911 in the rollover wreck.

The unidentified married man in his 60s who lives next to Tuesday’s crash site in the Rancho Palos Verdes rushed to the scene after the 45-year-old Woods apparently lost control of his 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV along an accident-prone stretch outside Los Angeles, The Sun reported.

The man who reportedly sprang into action to help Woods declined to be interviewed early Wednesday, but another Rancho Palos Verdes resident hailed him as a “hero,” according to the report.

“We heard he rushed from his house to Tiger’s car as soon as he called 911,” another neighbor told The Sun. “He helped officers to get Tiger out when they arrived. The crash was right behind his house so when he heard it he knew it was a bad accident straight away.”

Woods reportedly has no memory of the wreck that left him with a shattered right leg. He faces a long road to recovery, including extensive physical therapy and more operations on his leg, medical experts have told The Post.

No criminal charges are being considered in the accident and Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Wednesday that there was no evidence indicating reckless driving on behalf of Woods.
