Toddler girl, 2, killed in horror crash with man, 35, after lorry and car collide in Anwick | The Sun

A TODDLER has died alongside a man in his 30s after a lorry and car collided in a horror crash.

Emergency services scrambled to the tragic scene in Lincolnshire after getting calls about the smash.

The two-year-old girl and 35-year-old man were devastatingly pronounced dead shortly after.

The pair were travelling together in the car.

Police are now urging people who witnessed the horror, which unfolded in Anwick around 2.45pm yesterday, to come forward.

Lincolnshire cops said: "We are saddened to confirm two people have died in a collision between a lorry and a car in Anwick.

"Officers were called to Main Road at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 18 June and motorists were asked to avoid the area while they dealt with the incident.

"A 35-year-old man and a two-year-old girl – the driver and passenger of a Blue Nissan Qashqai – died in the collision.

"Their family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.

"We are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who has dashcam footage from before or after the collision to get in touch if they saw the car.
