Two girls aged 12 and 13 'sexually assaulted' by ‘group of boys’ in Bradford park

TWO teenage girls were reportedly sexually assaulted in a park last night.

The 12 and 13-year-old are alleged to have been attacked by a group of schoolboys boys in the Holme Wood area of Bradford.

They are said to have approached the girls at around 7.30pm in an area of Knowles Park.

The teens are now being supported by specially trained officers at West Yorkshire Police while cops investigate.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police are investigating following a report of sexual assaults on two girls in a Bradford park.

"The girls aged 12 and 13, are being supported by specially trained officers while the Bradford District Safeguarding Unit is continuing inquiries.

"The incident was said to have occurred at around 7.30pm on Sunday in the Knowles Park area and was reported to have involved boys of similar age."

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious is urged to contact Bradford District Safeguarding Unit, quoting log 1768 of 20 March.

A cordon had been in place but it has reportedly since been lifted.
