  • UK set to pass the landmark of six in ten adults fully vaccinated on Tuesday

The country is today set to pass the landmark of six in ten adults fully vaccinated.

The latest figures yesterday showed that 59.7 per cent of adults – 31,449,915 people – had received both jabs as of Sunday.

It suggests today’s updated figures will show the milestone of 60 per cent was likely hit yesterday.

Public Health England has suggested the Government should aim to have 70 per cent fully inoculated before lifting remaining restrictions next month.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed yesterday that those who have been double jabbed will soon be spared having to self-isolate for ten days if they come into contact with someone with Covid.

Under the plan to revise quarantine restrictions, daily lateral flow tests are set to replace the mandatory self-isolation period.
