Two colleagues of Met rapist David Carrick sent one of his victims a series of messages saying she looked ‘hot’ and photos of them posing with guns.
One of the officers messaged the woman three days after Carrick’s arrest in October 2021, saying ‘hey’. Only investigating officers are allowed to contact victims.
The woman told Hertfordshire Police about the texts when they were investigating Carrick. They told her not to reply and spoke to the officer but took no further action.
The woman told Sky News: ‘When I saw that message I froze. I was so scared. I was worried he was messaging to check up on me.’
In another message the officer wrote: ‘Very cute sexy pic on facebook xx’. He later added ‘you should give me a facial’ and ‘I wanna get you drunk!xxx’.

A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police said: ‘During the course of the investigation we spoke to an MPS officer who had had contact with one of the victims before and after David Carrick’s arrest.
‘We were satisfied that no further action was required as part of our criminal investigation. If any further information comes to light regarding this contact it will be reviewed accordingly.’
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘We have been made aware of contact between two Met officers and a woman who was in a relationship with David Carrick. The woman later came forward as a victim of Carrick’s offending.
‘The information has been provided to us by a media outlet. Officers are making efforts to establish contact with the victim to make further enquiries. We are also aware that the same woman received a message from a Met officer following Carrick’s arrest in October 2021.
‘Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, who led the criminal investigation into Carrick, spoke to the officer at the time and were satisfied that no further action was required in relation to their investigation.
‘We have been clear about our commitment to delivering the highest standards and we will not hesitate to take the appropriate action if wrongdoing on the part of any officers is identified in this case.’

It comes as other pictures emerged showing a 19-year-old Carrick posing with a rifle in front of a collage of naked women while he was a teenager serving in the British Army.
The 48-year-old has been jailed for a minimum of 30 years for carrying out a string of ‘violent and brutal’ sex attacks after taking ‘monstrous advantage’ of at least a dozen women.
Carrick served in the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment and the Royal Logistics Corps prior to joining the Met.
Pictures obtained by The Sun show Carrick posing with guns in a martial arts stance. He sent the images to a female penpal, who described him as an ‘aloof and arrogant’.
She also said he pretended to be an ‘elite soldier’ who was bound for the special forces.
Carrick, who joined the Met in 2001 before becoming an armed officer with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command in 2009, pleaded guilty to 49 charges, including 24 counts of rape
Carrick will service a minimum of 30 years and 239 days in prison before being considered for parole.
The court heard graphic details of how Carrick used cameras he installed at home to monitor women while he was at work.
He made another woman choke on her vomit, assaulted one with a sex toy and urinated on one of his victims.
The armed officer tortured and abused women for 17 years despite coming to police attention nine times before his arrest and developing the nickname ‘B*****d Dave’ at work.

He called women ‘fat and lazy’ and treated them as his ‘sex slaves’ as well as controlling them financially.
Victims were isolated from their family and forbidden from speaking with other men. He also used his police baton as a threat and handcuffs in an attack.
Carrick’s crimes were all carried out while serving with the force – he guarded sites including embassies and the Houses of Parliament, and completed training courses, including one on domestic abuse in 2005.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC said the ‘systematic’ offending was ‘catalogue of violent and brutal sexual offences’.
He would use ‘power and control’ to stop his victims leaving or reporting him, and others feared they would not be believed if they reported the rape.
