We only want cool and trendy customers at our boozer – our pints cost up to £18 | The Sun

A BAR appealing to "trendy and cool" customers is charging £18 for "bouji" pints.

Friends of Ham in Leeds offers some of the UK's top beers as well of a selection of charcuterie, cheese and wine.

Assistant manager Andy McLaughlin is proud of the finer quality goods on offer at the pub.

And he explained he wanted "young trendy people, cool people, like ourselves" to come to visit.

He added: “We like to call it 'bouji' -well, we don’t really call it that.

“We like to think we put a lot of thought into our menu, both in food and drink.

"We have some of the finest beers that the country can produce and in fact Europe and the world at times.”

The pub boasts an £18 beer called Knight Moves Churro Biscuit Pastry Imperial Stout – a "big sweet malty" brew by Browar Stu Mostów in Poland.

Andy says the "unbelievable" drink has a "really thick viscous oily" texture to it.

He said: “Quality speaks for itself. Certain beers won’t be for everyone’s tastes but that’s how it is.”

But due to its overwhelming taste, Andy has only sold a full measure to two people.
