Bradshaw has been charged with 50 counts of distributing revenge porn, according to the state prosecutor's office.

The Cambridge-born politician is affiliated with the Republican party. Bradshaw was the youngest to be elected to the position in January 2021.

He attended Pennsylvania State University and upon graduating went on to work for his family's body shop business.

The ex mayor has served for the Republican party for over a decade including his win in 2021.

His campaign slogan was, "The Bridge to Cambridge's Future."

What did Andrew Bradshaw do?

On Nov. 15, 2021 Bradshaw was charged with violating Maryland's Revenge Porn Statute.

The state's prosecutor's office released the information on their website stating that he allegedly released nude images without the consent of a former romantic partner.

"The Criminal Information, filed today in the Circuit Court for Dorchester County, alleges that Andrew Bradshaw created multiple accounts on the public internet forum “Reddit”, employing public usernames consisting of permutations of the name and birthdate of a person, identified as VICTIM-1, who had a past romantic relationship with Mr. Bradshaw."

They also added that Bradshaw allegedly captioned the images with racial slurs and sexually explicit language.

The state's prosecutor's office alleges that Bradshaw released the images with the intent to harm the other party.

Other outlets report that the events took place between April 3 and May 30 on the Reddit forums.

What is the punishment for distributing revenge porn?

In the state of Maryland the punishment for distributing revenge porn and sexual images without consent is stated on the state prosecutor's website.

"Maryland’s Revenge Porn Statute, Maryland Criminal Law Article § 3-809, prohibits the nonconsensual distribution of a private visual representation of another which exposes their intimate body parts or displays them engaged in sexual activity, with the intent to harm, harass, intimidate, threaten or coerce the person depicted."

The site goes on to explain that is Bradshaw is convicted his punishment could be two years maximum incarceration and a $5000 fine for each count.

As the 32-year-old has been charged with 50 counts that brings his total to $250,000 in fines.

He was released without posting bail on Monday, Nov. 15 and faces a maximum of 100 years in prison.
