Woman, 29, charged with murder as man, 31, found dead after 'altercation'

A WOMAN in her 20s has been charged with murder after a 31-year-old man was found dead.

Medics and police rushed to a home in Stapenhill, Burton-upon-Trent after an altercation was allegedly heard at midday on Sunday.

But despite their efforts, Oliver O'Toole was pronounced dead at the scene.

Today, cops say they've charged Kayley Mahood, 29, over his death.

The defendant appeared in the dock on Tuesday morning for a brief appearance.

She was remanded into custody, and will next appear at Stafford Crown Court on Thursday.

Officials at Staffordshire Police said the victim's family are being supported by specially trained officers.

The investigation into Mr O'Toole's death continues.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward by calling police on 101, quoting incident 371 of July 25.
