Woman takes Pomeranian to the groomer – but is completely shocked at the result

A couple whose dog was given an hilarious ‘“lollipop” haircut by a groomer say they are furious that they haven’t received an apology.

But the dog groomer won’t back down – saying that when the little Pomeranian’s owner brought the dog in he insisted that they didn’t use their normal equipment and instead used the clippers he’d brought with them.

The man’s wife, Henny You, said that before she left her dog Dede at Precious Pets grooming service, she asked them make her pet look like a miniature Shiba Inu.

But when she returned to collect her pet she found that the groomer, named as Ong, had shaved nearly all of Dede’s fur off – including the outer and inner coat.

Henny posted photos of the haircut horror on the ‘Dog Lover Singapore’ Facebook group where she wrote in large letters: "ALL GONE."

She also complained that the poor dog was now permanently cold and has to wear two layers of clothes before being allowed outside the house.

Henny and her husband are also angry that the groomer refused to apologise and still expected to be paid the fee of $100 (about £56).

However, the company insisted that their groomer was only following the instructions provided by the husband who had been repeatedly warned that it would not look good.

In a message to Henny they wrote: "We understand your sentiments regarding your Pom. We take every customer's comments and feedback seriously.

"However, we wish to highlight that the grooming was done pursuant to your husband's specific instructions on confirmation – he repeatedly confirmed to our groomer the pump should be clipped using his own adjustable shaver (instead of our equipment and tools)."

They added that the husband was repeatedly warned it would not look good, but carried out his wishes when he insisted.

The couple said they were saddened to be blamed for the mess and claimed that the posts were unreasonable.

They added: "We are open to listening to your further feedback and see if there's an amicable way to resolve this, but will not have a reputation unfairly tarnished. Please confirm that will take down all the posts online as soon as possible."

The pet grooming company, Precious Pets' grooming service, declined to comment when interviewed by local media.
