Whether it’s a glazed doughnut, a milkshake, or even matcha tea, the beauty world loves nothing more than a food-themed nail trend.
And the latest must-have manicure taking over the internet are the ‘blueberry milk nails.’
Whether you’ve seen them on the likes of Sofia Ritchie, Dua Lipa or on a friend’s fingertips, blueberry milk nails are having a moment.
Even style icon Zendaya stepped out with blue toned nails at the Louis Vuitton Spring menswear 2024 show.
And it’s likely their popularity stems from the fact that blueberry milk nails are just so damn versatile.
There’s a creamy, inoffensive light blue colour to suit all skin tones, and it can work on any nail length – whether you’re a short nail girlie, or prefer statement coffin nails.
And, you don’t need a steady hand or a degree in fine art to achieve the look.
It’s literally a case of picking your preferred light blue shade, and painting it on. Minimal skill required.
Alternatively, you can use a blue hue as a base colour, with a semi-sheer white shade on top, which will give more of a ‘milky’ effect.
Of course, if you want your manicure to look Sofia-chic – and last without chipping – it’s all about the prep.
So make sure you spend some time pushing back your cuticles and filing your nails down to the desired shape.
