Our Beauty Editors Couldn't Get Enough of These 6 Products in August

Just as fast as summer equinox got here, it's already (almost) time to say goodbye to the warmest season of the year. But lucky for us, we got to test out a whole bunch of beauty products that made this summer all the more enjoyable.

From nourishing conditioners to keep Kayla's curls soft, detangled, and hydrated, to a gorgeous fragrance Erin looks forward to spritzing on, here are all of the products we couldn't get enough of in August. And we know you'll love them too.

NTRL by Sabs Nourishing Conditioner

I met celebrity hairstylist and business owner Sabrina Rowe on set for a work project and let me just start off by saying she is lovely. From the moment I sat in her chair and she put her hands in my hair to see what she was working with, we clicked. As we got to talking, Rowe let me know that she has her own line of products, and she even brought me a gift bag of goodies to try — so I did just that on my next wash day. I loved the entire line, but as someone with super curly hair, I'm a sucker for a good conditioner and this one does not disappoint. The clean, vegan formula gives me amazing slip and leaves my hair feeling super soft and ready for a steam treatment. The only downside? I liked it so much that I ended up using the entire bottle in one shot (whoops). So Sabrina, please let me know when the Costco-sized bottles drop!

Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls

Miss Jessie's products have been my go-to since I started to transition my hair six or seven years ago, and I've yet to find any line that can take their place. However, I had yet to try Jelly Soft Curls, as I usually forego a standard wash-and-go for either a braid-out or finger coils to avoid the inevitable crunch. But let me tell you, that's not even something I think about anymore thanks to this product. I've done two wash-and-gos using this gel, and it gives me great hold without turning my hair into curly fries, or leaving it feeling hard and dry. Instead, I have ultra-soft curls that last well into my next wash day.

Benefit Powmade Brow Pomade

If there's one thing Benefit is going to do, it's make amazing brow products — and their latest pomade is no exception. I first tried the product after getting an eyebrow tint from Benefit's global brow expert Jared Bailey, and of course he worked his magic and gave me the bushy brows of my dreams. And thankfully, you don't have to be a pro to get a similar look at home. I simply brush the hair into place using a spoolie, then follow up by applying the product with an angled brow bush, and voila. Another plus? It stays in place (no smudging and no budging) until I'm ready to wash it off.

Atolla Custom Serum

There is customizable skincare, and then there is Atolla's personalized serum. The subscription-based brand is the closest thing to having your own personal dermatologist at home (and coincidentally it was co-founded by one). After doing a brief quiz that gets in-depth about your skin concerns, goals, and ingredient preferences, a serum is formulated to help improve your current skin situation. The serum size lasts roughly 30 days and before you reorder, you reassess your skin with a quiz and test in case your formula needs any tweaks. I'm now on my third bottle of serum that I created to tackle post-inflammatory dark marks and dullness, and while I've not only seen improvement in my skin tone, I love that the formula instantly absorbs into my skin without any stickiness.

Byredo Blanche Collector’s Edition

During this time when we're still trying to avoid germs at all costs, there's nothing wrong with just wanting to smell clean. On top of regularly bathing, this best-selling Byredo scent helps, too. Blanche smells like sleeping on fresh sheets or using a towel straight out of the dryer, thanks to notes of aldehydes, rose, pink pepper, peony, violet, sandalwood, and musk. The limited-edition white cap drives the laundry day inspiration home.

Ilia Fullest Volumizing Mascara

As someone who grew up playing violin, Ilia had me at this mascara's "violin-shaped brush." However, the formula has won me over, too. It leaves lashes full and fluffy and it doesn't flake or smudge, despite not being waterproof.
