Naturalistas (and their locks) are being fed in 2021. Pattern Beauty just introduced a Lightweight Conditioner, and curly and coily heads are getting a new option like never before.

Over the last few years, celebrities have been dropping beauty brands. With Pattern Beauty, Tracy Ellis Ross is committed to giving naturals of all textures a variety of conditioner options for achieving “juicy and joyful” hair. The new Lightweight Conditioner is specifically designed for “naturals with fine or thin hair whose curls need a kiss of hydration.”

According to the brand, it took 60 different tries before settling on this final version of the Lightweight Conditioner. Like all other products in the line, this conditioner doesn’t contain any silicones, Phthalates, parabens or formaldehyde. It’s also color-safe all while maintaining slippage.

“The Lightweight Conditioner has been a labor of love to create,” Ross explains in a press release. “Achieving the Pattern slip while keeping it silicone-free was no small feat. It is a milky, daily hair conditioner for when your strands just need a light re-wash.”

How the Pattern Beauty Lightweight Conditioner compares to the rest of the conditioner lineup

Pattern Beauty has three other conditioners in its collection. The Intense Conditioner is made for tight textures, while the Heavy Conditioner is ideal for coily textures. Meanwhile, the Medium Conditioner targets curly hair types. The new Lightweight Conditioner can actually be used for curly, coily and tight textures, but it’s especially great for those with thinner hair. Not to mention, it makes for a great everyday cowash.

I’ve used all of the Pattern Beauty conditioners — save for the Medium. After trying the Lightweight Conditioner, it’s easy to why naturally curly heads will love this one. Even with my 4C coils, the Lightweight Conditioner still glided through my hair while detangling with the brand’s Shower Brush. Plus, it’s gentle enough on my bleached and dyed hair so that I can use it every day. All the while, the conditioner is truly so lightweight that it feels like you just stepped out of a fresh shower with no product in your hair.

Since quarantine began, curly and coily heads have been forced to do their own hair at home. Thankfully, with this new addition to the Pattern conditioner line, women with diverse hair textures will have another great option for achieving luscious (detangled) curls.
