Amanda Bynes no longer has ‘thought disorders’ amid conservatorship hearing

Amanda Bynes no longer has ‘thought disorders’ according to documents filed to end her conservatorship after nine years.

The actress, 35, has filed to end the rule with the full support of both of her parents after turning her life around in recent years.

In documents seen by The Blast, Amanda’s psychiatrist has signed a capacity declaration charting her transformation since she was hospitalised under a 5150 hold in 2014.

It reads: ‘Ms. Bynes has no apparent impairment in alertness and attention, information and processing, or ability to modulate mood and affect, and suffers no thought disorders.

‘Ms. Bynes’ psychiatrist further opines that Ms. Bynes has the capacity to give informed consent to any form of medical treatment.’

The filing also includes report cards from Amanda’s degree course at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), showing that she is an outstanding student and is excelling in her studies with ‘consistently above-average grades.’

Amanda has also been ‘living in a structured community for women since 2020’ having initially lived in a ‘transitional house’ to learn ‘daily life skills’ and a sustainable routine.

She is also accountable for ‘ongoing random toxicology screenings, weekly apartment checks, and a weekly case management session with her case manager.’

Her tests for illicit substances have also consistently come back negative and she undergoes the screening at regular intervals.

The filing concludes: ‘Ms. Bynes contends her condition has improved, and protection of the court is no longer necessary,’ noting that her mother Lynn ‘does not object to the termination of this conservatorship’.

Amanda’s lawyer has previously stated that the rule was never intended to be in place forever and a hearing has already been set for March 23 to determine whether her conservatorship will be removed.
