Dave Grohl Storyteller Tops New York Times Best-Seller List

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl‘s first book, “The Storyteller -Tales of Life and Music,” has topped the New York Times Best-Seller List.

“Storyteller” currently sits at No. 1 on the New York Times‘ Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction list as well as the Hardcover Nonfiction list.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would someday be a number one bestselling author, but it’s those same wildest dreams that I’ve followed since the day I picked up a guitar. Honored,” Grohl said. “Huge thanks to everyone at Dey Street Books for making my first book such an amazing experience.”

“The Storyteller -Tales of Life and Music,” which is described as “a collection of memories of a life lived loud,” dropped on October 5 via Dey Street Books and Simon & Schuster.

In the autobiography, Grohl recounts stories from throughout his life and career, including his time with the Foo Fighters and Nirvana. The book also features anecdotes about David Bowie, Joan Jett, Iggy Pop, and Paul McCartney.

The book has been critically acclaimed and has received several positive reviews from the press. It currently holds a 4.8 out of 5 overall rating from fans on Amazon.

Grohl had also embarked on a promotional tour in support of his autobiography. The limited run of intimate shows kicked off at the Savoy Theatre in London on Monday, September 27.
