Flea has voice his approval of Nandi Bushell after the ten-year old online music sensation covered the Red Hot Chili Pepper‘s hit “Under the Bridge.”
Bushell shared a cover of “Under the Bridge,” in which she nails the guitar melody, the drums and the vocals.
“I LOVE the @chilipeppers – Under the Bridge is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands!” she tweeted along with the video. “Awesome band and awesome musicians @flea333, @chadsmithofficial, @johnfrusciante and #anthonykiedis.”
“Always love to Nandi!” Flea responded to Bushell’s cover.
This isn’t the first time Flea has supported Bushell. In 2019, he re-posted a clip of Bushell drumming to Nirvana‘s “In Bloom” and wrote, “GO NANDI! GO GIRL! FEEL IT! DO IT! BE IT! YOU ARE IT!”
Bushell has received acknowledgment from several other music celebrities for her talent.
Tom Morello gifted her a brand new black Fender Soul Power Stratocaster in June 2020 after she shared a cover of Rage Against the Machine‘s “Guerilla Radio.”
She was also victorious in a drum battle against Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl. In December, Muse praised Bushell for her cover of “Hysteria.”
