Hugh Jackman is still ready to be on Broadway again, despite today’s announcement that live performances will not resume until June 2021 at the earliest.
Broadway has been shut down since March 13 and the Broadway League just extended the closure until at least May 31, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hugh should have been on Broadway right now in the musical The Music Man, but the opening night has now been rescheduled until 2022.
Preview performances for the revival, which also stars Sutton Foster, will begin on December 20, 2021 with an official opening night on February 10, 2022.
Hugh visited the Winter Garden Theatre today and snapped a photo while standing on the street. He captioned the pic, “When Broadway is ready for us… we will be ready for you! @sfosternyc #TheMusicMan #Broadway.”
