Jeremy Clarkson, 60, is well known for his presenting chops on shows like Top Gear and The Grand Tour. However, fans will be excited to see his new solo show I Bought A Farm, which he opened up about to Express.co.uk.

Clarkson will soon be swapping cars for farming in his brand-new Amazon series.

The show will see him across the farming year working on the farm he purchased with his girlfriend Lisa Hogan.

Viewers will be able to see the trials and tribulations of farm ownership over the eight-part series.

Speaking ahead of the release of The Grand Tour: A Massive Hunt back in November, Clarkson revealed how “lucky” he felt to be able to film the show.

This was especially the case in a year where the coronavirus pandemic put so many others out of work.

At the time, he told Express.co.uk and other media: “That was the luckiest break.

“I’m always very lucky, but to do a show in my own backyard in the year of a pandemic is incredibly good fortune.

“We did manage to keep filming, albeit with a massively reduced crew of one sound man, one cameraman and me, that was it.

“But we managed to keep filming all the way through, which is tremendous.

“My heart obviously goes out to everyone suffering appalling hardships and deaths and what have you, which is a nightmare.

“But as far as I was concerned, I was fortunate as hell.”

The eight-part series was filmed in 2020 on his farm called Diddly Squat in Oxfordshire.

The property features a functioning farm shop, which first opened in 2020 to sell produce.

When the series was confirmed back in 2019, Clarkson said in a statement: “Good news!

“I can finally confirm that I’m going to be spending the next year, in the rain, making a show about farming for Amazon Prime.

“Of course to be a farmer you have to be an agronomist, a businessman, a politician, an accountant, a vet, and a mechanic.

“And I’m… none of those things. I don’t even know what agronomist means.”

There is no release date currently for his new show but he did drop a hint on Twitter recently.

Back in January, he was asked by a fan: “Where’s the farming show? I thought it was supposed to be out in December?”

Much to the delight of his followers he gave an update and replied: “June apparently.”

Therefore, it seems viewers will not be waiting too long to see the series.
