The latest recoupling in the Love Island villa has caused the biggest stir to date in the series and dumped islander Sharon Gaffka, 25, took to her Instagram story to call out Hugo Hammond, 24, on his savage recoupling speech.

The dramatic recoupling saw PE teacher Hugo lay into Toby Aromolaran, 22, after he chose to recouple with new bombshell Abigail Rawlings, 27.

Sharon, who was in a friendship couple with Hugo for some of her time on the show, took to Instagram questioning his motives for the speech when he had previously been ‘complicit’ in Toby splitting with Kaz Kamwi, 29, to couple up with Chloe Burrows, 25.

In answering fan questions, Sharon spoke about Hugo’s decision. She said: “Okay, so I don’t think Hugo was wrong for sticking up for Chloe, I knew he was going to pick Chloe, and I knew that he was gonna say something along those lines.

“I didn’t think he’d say it with as much chest, so that took me by surprise. Maybe he spent too much time coupled up in bed with me.”

She went on to say how she felt Hugo didn’t do the same for fellow islander Kaz.

She said: “One thing I don’t like about Hugo’s speech is that Hugo openly admitted to me that he enabled Chloe and Toby to crack on.

She continued: "And obviously, me being [BFFs] with Kaz, didn’t appreciate it at all because it was behind Kaz’s back. So, for me, what goes around comes around.”

Sharon also spoke of how she felt bad for villa newcomer Georgia Townend who as a result of Hugo’s decision was dumped from the villa.

She said: “What I also didn’t like about the speech is that Georgia had done nothing wrong and I just feel like it was unfair on her to witness that or be part of that.”

The civil servant also speculated on Hugo’s true motives for making the decision he did and suggested he had feelings for Chloe “since day one”.

She said: “I’ve said that Hugo will pick Chloe because I think Hugo has had feelings for Chloe since day one. And now I’m watching their pillow talk, and them having a little snuggle.’

She added, before laughing: ‘Yeah, come on now… ‘Why don’t you go with someone who will treat you nice. I see you Mr Hammond, I see your game. Okay!”
