Matt Baker, 43, is currently presenting Countryfile on Sundays on the BBC. However, the star has also been dipping his toes into a new venture as well, which he shared with his fans.

Posting in front of his 274,000 followers, Matt shared his latest painting with his fans.

The presenter posted an image of a lion he had painted on canvas as he asked for some advice.

Alongside the pic, he wrote: “Hi all haven’t had much time for painting recently but here’s my latest oil on canvas experiment.

“I’m trying something a little old school with the colours…

“Not sure whether to keep going with it or stop here?”

Matt then finished his post with the hashtags #art #oilpainting #lion #hobby #oldschool.

As soon as he posted the picture, the farm presenter was inundated with support.

Among those who weighed in were some of Matt’s celebrity pals.

Artist Charlie Mackesy wrote to the star: “Lovely. Trust your gut.”

“Gorgeous! Love it,” added former Great British Bake-Off winner Dr Rahul Mandal.

Matt has been sharing several of his artworks with his fans for the last few years.

The former The One Show presenter often creates pieces inspired by animals.

He’s also not the only arty one in his family, as his wife Nicola Baker also revealed.

Posting on her own Instagram, she shared how their family gets stuck into their creativity.

She posted an image of a card her sister made to her 24,000 followers.

Alongside this, she penned: “We’re all quite arty in our family.
