Breaking his silence on the Migos star’s devastating passing, YRN Lingo pens a heartfelt letter to his elder brother whom he lovingly dubs a ‘real HUMBLE GIANT.’

AceShowbizTakeoff‘s death is still mourned by his close and loved ones, nearly a month after his tragic passing in a shooting on November 1. Breaking his silence on the loss of the hip-hop star, his brother YRN Lingo paid an emotional tribute by writing a heartfelt note which he shared publicly via Instagram.

“I honestly still can’t believe it,” Lingo began in his Monday, November 28 post, which also featured throwback photos of him and Takeoff. “My big brother, my right hand, my other half, my literal twin. The one I could call upon anytime no matter what time, weather, situation you were in. You always made sure the family was straight, even when I didn’t need anything you always gave me something.”

Lingo remembered, “You told me ‘when I make it rapping, you can ask me for anything I mean anything’ me as your little brother, I just looked at you and asked ‘anything?’. He said ‘anything! All the shoes, clothes and most importantly games’ I laughed and gave him a hug.”

Lamenting life without his elder brother, Lingo said, “I hate that I have to move on with my life without you physically here, I wish I could just stop time and wait, but I know that can’t happen. It’s a lot of things I’m going to miss about you, I could name them but it would take forever. I looked up to you more than anyone on this earth and I will never stop looking up to you. I’ll carry your name until the day I die.”

Lingo, who is also a rapper, went on speaking highly of his late brother, “You always stayed in your lane and never bothered anyone. Quiet, but very well spoken a real HUMBLE GIANT. I know God had to meet one of his purest angels because you were one of them. I’m still trying to understand this life thing, just help me and guide me through this hell on earth, cause it’s going to be hard, super hard without you bro.”

“I will see you again one day in heaven brother,” the 25-year-old ended the note. “I’ll take care of Mama and Heaven down here. Take you fulfilled your purpose and more. You will forever remain in my heart, our hearts.” He added in the caption, “It’s never going to be the same again. But your name will live on. LongLiveTake.”

Takeoff was shot and killed at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas on November 1 after a private party that led to an argument involving his uncle and Migos groupmate Quavo reportedly over a dice game. At least two guns were fired during the altercation, hitting Takeoff three times in the torso and head.

No suspect has been named, but 16-year-old Joshua Cameron a.k.a. Lil Cam 5th has been arrested since November 22 for a felony charge of unlawful carry of a weapon on the night of Takeoff’s death. He is a part of J. Prince Jr.’s Mob Ties Records. Despite being held on unrelated charges, he’s reportedly being questioned by detectives about the Takeoff shooting.
